Fifty-one Tales
This is a one-of-a-kind journal upcycled from a rescued copy of the 1917 book, "Fifty-one Tales," by Lord Dunsany.
I enhanced the cover with several metallic-pen spiral drawings and one found penny (for your thoughts)
.  I used a twisted velvet cord not only as decoration but also as anchors to bind the blank pages into the journal.

I hand tore each page from a variety of colored paper and used long and kettle stitches with metallic thread for the binding.  These stitches are visible on the spine.  The book block (a term meaning all the pages of a book as a whole) contains five signatures (a term for groups of pages folded together).
