I'm Ready to Buy Back to the Main Shop   Back to Upcycled-Book Catalog Back to the Top		This is a one-of-a-kind journal made from a rescued copy of the children's book, "An Invitation to the Butterfly Ball."   I have adorned the cover with cutouts from the original book cover paper and braided orange tape.   The long-stitch and kettle-stitch binding is visible on the spine.
Back to the Top		The pages of the journal are made from gold-marbled parchment paper, hand torn to the size of the cover. I include out-of-context quotes from the original book on some of the pages for use as writing prompts.

Back to the Top		The coverings of the inside front and back covers are original to the book.   On the inside back cover is my unique signature medallion, which also states the year I made the book.
Back to the Top		The journal has an attached, butterfly-adorned, ribbon bookmark. I also include a paper bookmark listing the book's main features. Dimensions of the journal are approximately 10.25" x 8" x .5".
