I'm Ready to Buy Back to the Main Shop   Back to Upcycled-Book Catalog Back to the Top		This is a one-of-a-kind journal made from a rescued copy of Zane Grey's "Riders of the Purple Sage," copyright 1912.   I have adorned the original cover with satin and grosgrain ribbon and with beads incorporated into the binding.  The book is bound using a long-stitch and kettle-stitch variation, visible on the spine.
Back to the Top		The pages of the journal are made from gold-marbled parchment paper.
Back to the Top		I include out-of-context quotes from the original book on some of the pages to be used as writing prompts.  These are some examples. Note: I give the page number of each quote and list the publication information on the last page of the journal.
Back to the Top		Covering the inside of the front and back covers are pages from the original book. On the inside back cover is my unique signature medallion, which also gives the year I made the book.
Back to the Top		The journal has an attached beaded bookmark.  I also include a paper bookmark listing the book's main features. Dimensions of the journal are approximately 7.5" x 5" x 1.5".
